Waiting on Wednesday/s are hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine in which you choose a book or books that you're excited and waiting for.
This week's Waiting on Wednesday book is:
Title: Ink (The Paper Gods #1)
Author: Amanda Sun
Publication date: June 25th 2013
Pre-order the book: Amazon / Barnes and Noble
I looked down at the paper, still touching the tip of my shoe. I reached for it, flipping the page over to look.
Scrawls of ink outlined a drawing of girl lying on a bench.
A sick feeling started to twist in my stomach, like motion sickness.
And then the girl in the drawing turned her head, and her inky eyes glared straight into mine.
On the heels of a family tragedy, the last thing Katie Greene wants to do is move halfway across the world. Stuck with her aunt in Shizuoka, Japan, Katie feels lost. Alone. She doesn’t know the language, she can barely hold a pair of chopsticks, and she can’t seem to get the hang of taking her shoes off whenever she enters a building.
Then there’s gorgeous but aloof Tomohiro, star of the school’s kendo team. How did he really get the scar on his arm? Katie isn’t prepared for the answer. But when she sees the things he draws start moving, there’s no denying the truth: Tomo has a connection to the ancient gods of Japan, and being near Katie is causing his abilities to spiral out of control. If the wrong people notice, they'll both be targets.
Katie never wanted to move to Japan—now she may not make it out of the country alive.

(Summary from Goodreads)
WHY I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR THIS *hyperventilates*:
This was my reaction when I saw the cover:
It's like seeing a unicorn pooping out rainbows! AMAAAAZING. |
LSP, why do you always know what to say? :) |
Too. Much. Feelings. |
I can honestly say that Ink's cover has to be the most gorgeous book cover I have ever seen and I am absolutely in love with it.
No, Sakura, Yukito isn't here but Tomohiro is! |
And this is what happened when I read its summary, respectively:
*hyperventilates* |
Give him what he wants, he might try to abduct us. |
If Iron Man needs it, we all need it. #TRUTH |
Brain. Dead. |
I haven't read a premise in so long that has captured my attention the way Ink has. Right now all I can think about is a way for me to be able to get an ARC of it... and I may resort to underhanded means. *whips out ninja skills*
YESSSS. |
NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW |
And when I found out that it was going to be released on June 2013...
Anger. |
More anger. |
Some ugly crying. |
Resignation... |
And when people try to make me feel better:
I'm going through my depressed phase... |
No, I don't want to go to Taco Bell! Jesus, Karen, you're sooo stupid! *runs away crying* |
So that's it! Basically, to give you a run down of everything, I want you to click the button below and add this awesome book to your Goodreads (trust me you won't regret it and if you need further encouraging, just scroll back up and look at my "journey":)
Like I said, Ink has such a beautiful cover and a summary that has managed to enthrall me every time I read it. I seriously cannot wait to read this book... I am dying to read it. Thank you, Amanda Sun, for getting me all obsessed with your book.
*sits in a dark corner and rocks back and forth waiting patiently for Ink*
