Review: Suzzane's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson

Review:

Okay, I know this is not Y.A. but hear me out :)

I know, I know. James Patterson is associated with Alex Cross (please.) But this one is a REAL tearjerker. I've seen this book a lot f times already but had no intention on reading it since it was, you know, James Patterson (notorious for murder stories). I thought it would be gory/bloody/mass killing-ish but to my surprise, NO! It's an awesome romantic story. I can't even type my feelings for this book for it is far too much. The tissue comes out at the near-ending. It comes as a surprise because one minute, everyone's happy then the next, it sets a dark feeling on you. For me, this book is a-mazing! Give it a shot. You'll never know it might make it to your top-books-list) I love how everything blended in. There was absolutely no confusion and very straight-to-the point type. Word of Advice, drop your thoughts of James Patterson, the violent book author. Think James Patterson, romantic novel writer

Review: Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Review:
Delirium is one of the most beautiful novels I've EVER read. It's so magnificently heart-wrenching that I just wanted to cry out with sadness and love. Lauren Oliver will take you to a world where love does not exist and the world is set by boundaries. Delirium is easily my most favorite novel. As I was reading it I could help but get goosebumps. Delirium will rock you to your very core and leave you breathless but as you try to stop for a breath you end up feeling breathless once again. Lena, at the start, wasn't exactly one of my most favorable characters. She was weak, scarred and afraid. But Hana, her best friend, was someone I grew fond of. She was the exact opposite of Lena. One of the things I did like about Lena is that she had a past, the kind of past that haunts you. And then there was Alex, am amazing guy who can't seem to stay away from Lena and vice versa. What I love about this story is that when you think the good part ends you end up being shocked that you are in fact wrong. That there's always a twist and turn no matter where you go. Delirium is an amazing novel filled with tragedies, fear and love. Delirium is in fact a swoon-worthy novel. I cried so much while I was reading this. Like waterfalls...

Review: Winter's Passage by Julie Kagawa

Review:

I think I may have an obsession with Julie Kagawa. I love her. Forever and ever. She never fails to amaze me in each of her books, there's always something new to read about. What I love about her most is whenever you read her books there's never a dull scene. Winter's Passage is a novella that takes before Ash and Meghan arrive into the Winter Court. The eBook was very short yet very suspenseful. What I liked about this one is that it actually took me by surprise. Most of the time, I've already figured out what is going to happen by the first fifty or hundred or so pages but this one almost gave me a heart attack (seriously). My parents were like, "Louisse, are you okay? You're paler than your normal pasty self." Yes, I have wonderful parents. Let's just say when you read this it will put you on a complete edge. Of course, I also enjoyed the lovey-dovey scenes between Ash and Meghan~ *dreamy sigh* And there was that baby... Gross, just gross... To wrap this review up (since I'm being disturbed by the boxing match going on), Julie Kagawa will take you to another breathless journey filled with suspense, romance and GORE. That's what I thought of it.

Review: The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

I originally wanted to do a review Iron King. But Louisse beat me to it. So, nevertheless, I am still very happy to make a review on Iron Daughter! :)

Iron Daughter picked up where Iron King left it. Which I find really nice in books because like some, they go completely off-story and go back after like, half of the book. Iron Daughter is as exciting and fun as Iron King but with new plots, scenes and more alone time with Ash! hihihi. I liked how the story has a romance thing going on without ruining the "essence" of the book, which is about the fey. you won't get confused with it being a romance story because once the chapters get too romantic, it morphs from mushy-love-romance to exciting-action-fairy scenes. I love how Ash is willing to leave the fairy world just because he couldn't renounce his love for Meghan. I also like Robin but in a buddy kind of way. I don't see him as a possible love interest more of the best-friend-protection thing going on with him. The story is exhilarating and will take you away to dreamland! BTW, did I mention how hot Ash is? I hope he doesn't turn out to be a disappointment like some fictional creature that drinks animal blood and sparkles in the sun *ahem ahem* I can't wait for Iron Queen so, I shall look for it! haha

5 out of 5 stars!

Geraldine

Review: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

Review:
I was very ecstatic to read The Iron King and I wasted no time devouring it. The Iron King was an amazing book. I was reading so many good reviews about it that I went searching for it. Though I couldn't find a copy I was fortunate enough to have won a copy of both Iron Fey novels. Julie Kagawa is an amazing woman. Her personality is very subtle and she's very funny. Reading The Iron King was an amazing experience. Julie Kagawa has the ability to take you to another world; a world filled with faeries and such. I loved the way detailed her surroundings but also kept it very minimal. Though, I did sort of dislike Meghan a bit because she was practically throwing herself at Ash but we're all good now. I realize that my favorite character is not Ash (I know, I'm freaking out too) but Grimalkin. There's something about that little furball that amuses me. I love the way he acts bored all the time and the fact that he's a talking cat makes plus points with me! I liked Puck too because he had the power to make every tense mood turn into a lighter one. And I love his sarcasm. I loved Ash his brooding character was very sexy. I loved him~ But he's very, very cold. And then there's Meghan, I didn't really like get that much because I found her a bit naive and slightly gullible. But I know she has good intentions which made me tolerate her. Just reading the first few pages, you'll already know it's an amazing book. This book is easily my second most favorite book of all time (my first is Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr.) Julie Kagawa is an amazing writer who leaves you anticipating her characters' next move. I can't wait to read The Iron Queen! I can't believe I-- we have to wait until next year to read it!
