Top 10 of 2012: Top 10 Books I am Looking Forward to in 2013

Top 10 of 2012 is five days of Top 10 awesomeness! Click HERE to know more.  Hosted by Jaime from Two Chicks on Books, Rachel from Fiktshun, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
Listed below are the Top 10 books I am dying to read next year. xD

1. The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett (Publication date: March 5th 2013 / Tor Teen)
This was my WoW for this week. I absolutely love the idea of being a Nightmare and it seems like such an untouched concept. Dusty seems like such a spitfire and I cannot wait to read about her (mis)adventures.

2. Walking Disaster (Beautiful #2) by Jamie McGuire (Publication date: April 16th 2013 / Atria Books)
Eeeeep! Beautiful Disaster is one of my fave reads this year and I can't wait to see into Travis' mind.

3. Siege and Storm (The Grisha Trilogy #2) by Leigh Bardugo (Publication date: June 4th 2013 / Henry Holt and Co.)
Shadow and Bone is possibly my most favorite High Fantasy book, like, ever so it's no shocker for me to be insanely excited for Siege and Storm. I need my Darkling fix ASAP.

4. Untold (The Lynburn Legacy #2) by Sarah Rees Brennan (Expected publication: August 29th 2013 / Random House Books for Young Readers)
Anyone who has read the ending of Unspoken understands why I have a huge need to read this book. I. Need. It.
No cover yet.

5. Antigoddess (Antigoddess #1) by Kendare Blake (Publication date: September 10th 2013 / Tor Teen)
I love Kendare Blake's new take on Greek mythology, it seems so much darker and edgier than normal. I've always been a huge fan of Kendare Blake and her Anna series is just phenomenally terrifying and I just can't wait for this!

6. Dualed (Dualed #1) by Elsie Chapman (Publication date: February 13th 2013 / Random House Books for Young Readers)
Twin-cest! Haha. I really like the concept of being born knowing that there's another you out there that you have to kill, it just means that you have a badass protagonist with a really sharp object.

7. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (Between #1) by April Genevieve Tucholke (Publication date: August 20th 2013 / Dial)
Not only is the cover super creepy but the blurb is also literally spine-tingling. Something about reading the word "Devil" just makes it even more mysterious and intriguing.

8. Icons (Icons #1) by Margaret Stohl (Publication date: May 7th 2013 / Little, Brown Books for Young Readers)
I love the cover of Icons but the girl kinda looks haggard... or drunk. But that's probably just me. The summary sounds really cool too!

9. Invisibility by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan (Publication date: May 7th 2013 / Philomel)
Andrea Cremer + David Levithan? *hyperventilates* The idea of being invisible to everyone except one person sounds so incredibly cool and sweet. I seriously can't for this!

10. Phoenix (Black City Chronicles #2) by Elizabeth Richards (Publication date: June 4th 2013 / Putnam Juvenile)
I loved Black City and I really want to know what happens next! Phoenix's summary is absolutely heartbreaking and exciting at the same time.

Well those the top 10 books I AM DYING to read for 2013! :D

Top 10 of 2012: Best Book Boyfriends of 2012

Top 10 of 2012 is five days of Top 10 awesomeness! Click HERE to know more.  Hosted by Jaime from Two Chicks on Books, Rachel from Fiktshun, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
Listed below are the Top 10 hottest guys I read about this year. *swoons*

1. Prince Kai from Cinder
He's the perfect prince in my eyes. He's smart, caring, down-to-earth and sooo handsome. My ovaries literally cry out his name every time I read about him... (Too much? HAHA.) Prince or Emperor Kai is even better in Scarlet (even though he only has a few parts in the book) because you can really see him doing his emperorly duties. Decisions, decisions. ( I like Wolf too! He's such a sweetie.)

2. The Darkling from Shadow and Bone
Oh, The Darkling. No matter how twisted and evil you may be, I still love you. If Alina doesn't want you, you could totally move in my closet. I will squish you all the time. I love me some evil lords. (Once you go dark, you never go back. *wink*)

3. Orion from Dreamless
I was totally Team Lucas in Starcrossed but reading about Orion in Dreamless was just life-changing. Not only is he insanely hot (and HUGE) he's really powerful and gifted too! There's also something so vulnerable about him that you just want to give him the biggest hug ever. Um... You can take me to your cave any time. I mean it.

4. Rush Finlay from Fallen Too Far
I honestly didn't like Rush at first because he was literally a grade-A douche but as the book went on, you really see a softer side of him. He's possibly one of the sweetest guys I have ever read about and what happened in Fallen Too Far just broke my heart.

5. Noah Shaw from The Evolution of Mara Dyer
Though Noah was a bit too "perfect" for me in Unbecoming, he develops into a semi-real person in Evolution. You can see his flaws and insecurities in this book and that's what made me love him even more, knowing that he's human.

6. Warner (No first name) from Destroy Me
I will describe Warner in three words: neurotic, beautiful and crazy. Even though people think he's the "bad guy" I think that he's just misunderstood because his father is an even bigger douche than he is. I absolutely love Warner. *pushes Adam away*

7. Perry from Under the Never Sky
I honestly couldn't decide if I wanted to put Roar or Perry because they're both pretty amazing. But Perry obviously won out. Perry is such a brave and talented young lad. Having to survive so many things and fight his way out of many battles, it's definitely a testament of his courage and sacrifice.

8. Travis Maddox from Beautiful Disaster
I really love Travis from his sexy bod to his tattoos, who wouldn't love him? Even though he is kind of really possessive, I find it quite appealing. He would definitely make a relationship every amusing and interesting.

9. Jared Lynburn from Unspoken
Sometimes you just need a brooding kind of guy in your life. I really like Jared because we have a lot of things in common (eeeee!) We both have someone we truly depend on and trust, and trust doesn't come easy for the both of us. If Jared were a real person, I will literally hunt him down and marry him. Literally.

10. Daemon Black from Opal
I think quite a number of prepubescent girls and teens may get pissed because I placed Daemon only at tenth place. (Sorry, ladies!) I will admit that he's definitely sweeter in Opal than in any of the previous books and his cockiness is oddly appealing now. My heart wept (three times) in this book.

Are you guys swooning yet? Because I'm feeling a bit feverish. *sways*
All those hot and sweet men. Hoo!

Top 10 of 2012: Best New Adult Titles of 2012

Top 10 of 2012 is five days of Top 10 awesomeness! Click HERE to know more.  Hosted by Jaime from Two Chicks on Books, Rachel from Fiktshun, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
Listed below are the Top 10 best New Adult books I've read this 2012. :)

1. Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful #1) by Jamie McGuire (My review)
Sometimes you just need some craziness in your life. Travis and Abby's relationship is a whirlwind of emotions that you'll both appreciate and dread. You'll find yourself rooting for them and hoping that everything works out fine. I love, love, love this book!

2. On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street #1) by Samantha Young
Oh, Braden! *swoons* Samantha Young creates a book filled with heartache and love, and how you'll find salvation in the most unlikely of places.

3. Fallen Too Far (Fallen Too Far #1) by Abbi Glines (My review)
Insanely sweet and 100% heartbreaking, it's just one of those books you'll love and hate at the same time. Rush = sexy beast sexy tongue-pierced beast

4. Losing It by Cora Carmack (My review)
A really cute and easy read for when you need something light. And a hot British guy is never a bad thing.

5. Easy by Tammara Webber
I really liked Easy because it tackles sexual abuse and knowing that you shouldn't be afraid to report it when it does happen to you. It's good knowing that you aren't alone and that you can depend on other people as well. Easy also shows you that you can inspire others to stand up for themselves by starting with yourself. It's a really good read.

6. The Vincent Brothers (The Vincent boys #2) by Abbi Glines
I prefer this one than The Vincent Boys because not only is it sweeter, you can actually really understand Lana's pain. I literally cried while reading this book. I usually like bad boys but the good guy is going to have to take the cake on this one.

7. Down To You (The Bad Boys #1) by M. Leighton
I don't really understand why I like this book so much. Maybe because underneath all the steam and sexual tension, there's an underlying plot somewhere. There really is. I can't wait for the next one! (I honestly didn't know that this book was/is a New Adult...)

8. Slammed (Slammed #1) by Colleen Hoover (My review)
I love the whole concept of Slam poetry, it's unique and very creative. It's great that Colleen Hoover was able to incorporate the idea of Slam poetry with her story, how the characters use it as a medium to express their feelings of anger or loneliness and the like.

9. Thoughtless (Thoughtless #1) by S.C. Stephens
My mom made me listen to a song called "Torn Between Two Lovers" (I forgot the artist though) and that song is so appropriate for this book, I can't even. Team Kellan, though!

10. Reaction (Reflection #2) by Jessica Roberts
A very heartwarming read and sweet read. The characters are better developed in this book than the first one.

Well those the top 10 best New Adult books I read this year!
Hope you enjoy them too! :)

Top 10 of 2012: Best Book Covers of 2012

Top 10 of 2012 is five days of Top 10 awesomeness! Click HERE to know more.  Hosted by Jaime from Two Chicks on Books, Rachel from Fiktshun, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
Listed below are the Top 10 best book covers I saw this year. :)

1. The Diviners by Libba Bray
I really like the eye-thing The Diviners has going on. It's creepy but cute at the same time. And I also love the New York backdrop it has. The real book's cover feels really nice too. Haha!

2. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
One of my fave covers ever. From the eye-make up to the title font, who wouldn't love it? But might I suggest some eye drops for the lady?

3. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
I really love the color of this cover. I have no idea if it's red, pink or violet but the shade is very pretty. And the book itself is very shiny. Gold!

4. The Selection by Kiera Cass
I really like the girl's dress. And the crown on top of the title is very pretty. I feel like a princess every time I look at this. Or any of Kiera Cass's covers.

5. Black City by Elizabeth Richards
The whole shattering of the rose thing is really cool. I love the color of the rose and the way it sort of shines/fades as it breaks into a billion little pieces. Very pretty.

6. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I can't really explain the appeal of this cover but I really love it. It might be the color or the font but there's something so mysterious about it.

7. Ten by Gretchen McNeil
Creepiness to the max. That is all. I so don't want to be stuck in that island... or shrub.

8. Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake
Anna looks like she belongs in a Japanese horror movie and I guess that's what makes this cover radiate scariness. I like that fact that she looks like she's reaching out to you and saying "Come with me... to hell. Rawr!"

9. The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa
*drools* Your abs I want to lick.

10. Dreamless by Josephine Angelini [the Italian version]
Eeeep! I absolutely adore the colors of this cover. There's so many shades of pink and orange in there and it really captures the color of the sunset. I like the girl's dress even though it looks like a bed sheet tied to her body... in pink. So pretty though! The US cover is lovely too.

Well, those are my top 10 best book covers for this year!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! :D

Top 10 of 2012: Best Books I've Read in 2012

Top 10 of 2012 is five days of Top 10 awesomeness! Click HERE to know more.  Hosted by Jaime from Two Chicks on Books, Rachel from Fiktshun, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
Listed below are the Top 10 best books I've read this 2012. :)

1. The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
I absolutely loved and hated Evolution. There's just something so oddly appealing about it that you'll enjoy but there's also a sense of dread looming around it. It's possibly the best book I've ever read.

2. Cinder by Marissa Meyer (My review)
Eeeep! Cinder is one of the most original books I have read. Cyborgs? Androids? Lunars? You'd never realize how completely compatible all these elements are with fairytale retellings till you read Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles.

3. Dreamless by Josephine Angelini (My review)
Josephine Angelini's books only get better and better. Dreamless is action-packed, filled with swoon-worthy moments and brimming with a unique take of Greek mythology.

4. INK by Amanda Sun
INK was my most anticipated read for 2013 and I was insanely lucky to get an ARC (heee!) The whole concept of the kami and living drawings is just so insanely unique and you'll love every single moment of reading INK. I love Tomohiro and his man-scars. Haha!

5. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo (My review)
I've always been a huge fan of Fantasy novels and I just loved Shadow and Bone. Leigh Bardugo has written a beautiful and masterful novel that just radiates mystery and intrigue. As I have said before, Leigh Bardugo has managed to make being so bad look so good!

6. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan (My review)
I think it's SOP to have at least one really heartwrenching book in your Top 10 list and Unspoken is it. There's a sense of loneliness you'll feel while reading Unspoken but when you read about Kami and her wittiness, even the saddest of moments aren't so bad. Lots of humor and melancholy here.

7. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
I just had to include Scarlet in this list. I usually have an aversion to sequels but Scarlet has done me proud. I'm totally Team Kai but Wolf is just an absolute sweetheart that you can't help but love him too.

8. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire (My review)
If you ever need some craziness in your life, you need to read Beautiful Disaster. Abby and Travis' relationship is just one huge ball of humor and all-around craziness. There are sad moments and some insanely hilarious moments.

9. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga (My review)
How Barry Lyga was able to capture the mind of a serial killer so well is beyond me. *raises eyebrow* I have never been so creeped and freaked out in my life. Ever. And I absolutely love Howie, btw.

10. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Dystopia! Wheeee! Under the Never Sky is hands-down the best Dystopian novel I read this year. Even though the whole exiled idea is pretty overused, I really enjoyed this book. Perry! Roar! *swoons*

Well those my Top 10 picks for this year! Leave us a link to your post and we'll check it out. :) Merry Christmas (Eve!!)
