Top 10 of 2012: Best Book Covers of 2012

Top 10 of 2012 is five days of Top 10 awesomeness! Click HERE to know more.  Hosted by Jaime from Two Chicks on BooksRachel from FiktshunJessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
Listed below are the Top 10 best book covers I saw this year. :)

1. The Diviners by Libba Bray
I really like the eye-thing The Diviners has going on. It's creepy but cute at the same time. And I also love the New York backdrop it has. The real book's cover feels really nice too. Haha!

2. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
One of my fave covers ever. From the eye-make up to the title font, who wouldn't love it? But might I suggest some eye drops for the lady?

3. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
I really love the color of this cover. I have no idea if it's red, pink or violet but the shade is very pretty. And the book itself is very shiny. Gold!

4. The Selection by Kiera Cass
I really like the girl's dress. And the crown on top of the title is very pretty. I feel like a princess every time I look at this. Or any of Kiera Cass's covers.

5. Black City by Elizabeth Richards
The whole shattering of the rose thing is really cool. I love the color of the rose and the way it sort of shines/fades as it breaks into a billion little pieces. Very pretty.

6. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I can't really explain the appeal of this cover but I really love it. It might be the color or the font but there's something so mysterious about it.

7. Ten by Gretchen McNeil
Creepiness to the max. That is all. I so don't want to be stuck in that island... or shrub.

8. Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake
Anna looks like she belongs in a Japanese horror movie and I guess that's what makes this cover radiate scariness. I like that fact that she looks like she's reaching out to you and saying "Come with me... to hell. Rawr!"

9. The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa
*drools* Your abs I want to lick.

10. Dreamless by Josephine Angelini [the Italian version]
Eeeep! I absolutely adore the colors of this cover. There's so many shades of pink and orange in there and it really captures the color of the sunset. I like the girl's dress even though it looks like a bed sheet tied to her body... in pink. So pretty though! The US cover is lovely too.

Well, those are my top 10 best book covers for this year!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! :D

  1. Wow awesome picks! I really love the covers for Black City and The Selection, but the one that takes the cake is Dreamless. I featured the US edition on my list, but I like this edition much better. Which country is it from? Germany? Anyway, AWESOME choice!! :)
