In the beginning they were a group of nine. Nine aliens who left their home planet of Lorien when it fell under attack by the evil Mogadorian. Nine aliens who scattered on Earth. Nine aliens who look like ordinary teenagers living ordinary lives, but who have extraordinary, paranormal skills. Nine aliens who might be sitting next to you now. The Nine had to separate and go into hiding.

The Mogadorian caught Number One in Malaysia, Number Two in England, and Number Three in Kenya. All of them were killed. John Smith, of Paradise, Ohio, is Number Four. He knows that he is next.

I AM NUMBER FOUR is the thrilling launch of a series about an exceptional group of teens as they struggle to outrun their past, discover their future—and live a normal life on Earth.

I was never really a fan of sci-fi novels but this book is really something. As you read this book you can't help but to imagine such vivid images. I absolutely loved this book I found it very interesting and unique. The romance is very, very sweet and romantic! John Smith a.k.a Number Four, is just a normal boy trying to fit in. As he narrates the story you can't help but think how human he really is, how human he acts. He's a really sweet guy and being one of the last survivors makes his life a huge wreck and I felt really bad for him. But he's a great guy! Sarah Hart, in the book she's described as beautiful and has a camera with her. Sarah is a good-natured girl and I really like the romance between John and her. It was really nice that even though he is an alien she still loves him. Their love knows no bounds. It was an amazing read, filled with excitement and action. It was a beautifully crafted novel that was an easy read and I enjoyed it a lot. I sooo can't wait for the movie to come out! The cast looks awesome!
